Perry-Wright’s Commitment

Perry-Wright, a 6-2, 250-pound defensive tackle out of Buford High School in Georgia, is committing to A&M over offers from Texas, Miami, Clemson, Auburn and others. He’s currently ranked by 247Sports as the No. 2 defensive tackle in the country for the Class of 2026, and the No. 32 recruit overall.

“A quick-twitched, pocket-pusher with impressive get-off and body control that has created negative plays since he was a freshman,” 247’s Andrew Ivins said in Perry-Wright’s scouting report. “Lacks the ideal mass and measurables, but makes up for it with his mobility and energy.”

Aggies’ Class of 2026

With Perry-Wright committed, the Aggies’ Class of 2026 is really starting to come together, now with a trio of 5-star recruits. Perry-Wright, edge rusher Tristian Givens and WR/CB Brandon Arrington are all set to head to College Station after their senior high school seasons. The Aggies’ 2026 class has also reached the double digits for 4-star recruits committed. They’re currently ranked at No. 3 in the country for the Class of 2026.
