The Dallas County sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help regarding the investigation of a second hit-and-run that happened Saturday.

Deputies responded to a major crash on eastbound Interstate 20 near the Main Street exit in Duncanville at around 1:45 a.m., according to a Wednesday news release. At the scene, they found a person who had been struck by a vehicle while walking in the roadway.
The individual later died, according to the sheriff’s office.

The news release says Vehicle Crimes Unit detectives are now looking for a person who was driving a white Chevrolet Equinox that fled the scene eastbound on I-20. It also says the vehicle displays a Texas license plate of LGP5505, and likely sustained damages on the front end and possibly on the windshield.
The sheriff’s office encourages anyone who has information about the incident or has dash-cam video from the area of eastbound I-20 and Main Street between 1:40 to 1:50 a.m. to email VCU@dallascounty.org or contact Detective Espino at 214-589-2323.
