Exercise extra caution when commuting this morning, D-FW residents. The National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office issued a dense fog advisory for the area, as well as counties to the north and east. It expired at 10 a.m.

Visibility could be as low as a quarter of a mile, making it essential to leave plenty of space between cars and to drive with only low-beam headlights. This will help prevent accidents and ensure a safe commute.

After the fog moves out, the rest of Thursday is expected to be pleasant with partly cloudy skies and a high in the mid-80s. This will provide a welcome relief from the foggy morning and make for a great day to enjoy the outdoors.
