At about 2:15 p.m., a police motorcycle officer was involved in a crash in the 300 block of E. Southlake Boulevard near Olivia Court, a statement from Southlake police said.
The officer was responding eastbound on Southlake Boulevard to a call about a fight in progress along with a second officer when a work truck pulled in front of the police motorcycle as it was turning onto Olivia Court.
Police said another officer – who was responding to the call in a police Tahoe – was also involved in a second collision on E. Southlake Boulevard, near the intersection of Byron Nelson.
Circumstances of the Accidents
A vehicle “failed to yield right of way” and pulled in front of the officer’s patrol unit.
Both of the officers had their emergency lights and sirens activated during their response to the call, according to the statement.

The officer on the motorcycle was taken to a hospital in Grapevine with “non-life-threatening injuries,” police said.
The second officer, however, was treated for minor injuries and released, according to the police statement.
