Forest Hill Police Identify Suspects in Fatal Shooting of Rapper and Daughter

Forest Hill police officials Wednesday identified both suspects sought in connection with a shooting earlier this week that killed a Fort Worth rapper and his young daughter.

Police chief David Hernandez said at a news conference that the men they’re searching for are 24-year-old Adonis Robinson and 21-year-old Jakobie Russell.

“They’re scared, they’re cowards, they’re hiding,” Hernandez said, adding both men are considered armed and dangerous.

Background of the Shooting

According to police, Ronnie Sibley, a 35-year-old rapper also known as G$ Lil Ronnie, and R’mani Sibley, his 5-year-old daughter, were fatally shot Monday about 10:50 a.m. at Slappy’s Car Wash in the 6500 block of Forest Hill Drive.

Police said two Black males wearing blue jeans and grey sweaters exited a white four-door Kia and approached Ronnie’s car, which was parked in a bay at the car wash.

The men then “opened fire” on Ronnie and his daughter before fleeing, according to police.
