Later in the afternoon and overnight, scattered rain showers will move in, with the wet weather expected to stick around for the Tuesday morning commute.<\/p>\n<p>While Tuesday will see a high of 55 degrees, Sack said, another round of scattered showers was expected to arrive around 8 p.m. After that, &#8220;get ready for windy conditions, chilly temps and some flurries,&#8221; Sack said.<\/p>\n<h2>Wednesday and Thanksgiving Day Forecast<\/h2>\n<p>A &#8220;powerful cold front&#8221; will sweep across the Chicago area Tuesday night, the National Weather Service posted on X, with strong, westerly winds and gusts as high as 45 miles-per-hour.<\/p>\n<p>A blustery day was in store for the busy travel day Wednesday, with temperatures dropping into the mid-to-upper 30s.<\/p>\n<p>Thanksgiving Day, Sack said, will be sunnier, with a high of 33 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Not quite as windy, but still blustery and cold,&#8221; the NWS said.
