A driver who veered into oncoming traffic to pass other motorists in Auburn Gresham was killed in a collision Friday night.<\/p>\n
Around 5:15 p.m., the 30-year-old man was driving a Buick sedan east in the 7600 block of South Parnell Avenue when he tried to pass other cars and drove into the opposite lanes.<\/p>\n
He struck a Kia sedan that was traveling west on Parnell. His car spun out and hit a Mitsubishi sport-utility vehicle, Chicago police said.<\/p>\n
The man suffered multiple injuries and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.<\/p>\n
Drivers of the other vehicles declined medical attention, police said. No other injuries were reported.<\/p>\n
