A man is dead and another is recovering in the hospital after an early-morning shooting on the Northwest Side. The incident occurred just before 2 a.m. in the 6000 block of West Belden Avenue, in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood.<\/p>\n
According to police, the two victims were walking in the area when they were shot by an unknown individual. The 25-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his head and was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The second victim suffered a gunshot wound to his back and shoulder and was taken to the hospital where he was listed in good condition.<\/p>\n
Police said further investigation revealed that the shooter may have been traveling in a red vehicle at the time of the incident. Authorities are currently searching for this vehicle and are urging anyone with information to come forward.<\/p>\n
