CHICAGO — Chicagoland woke up to seasonal temperatures and cloudy skies on Saturday.

The cloudy skies are expected for most of the day on Saturday, but some peaks of sun are possible later in the day, which could mean a slight warm-up.

Temperatures were in the upper 30s for most of Chicagoland on Saturday morning and not much is expected to change heading into Sunday.

The water temperature of Lake Michigan has dipped to 49 degrees after spending some time in the 50s.

The extended outlook calls for continued mild temperatures on Monday with a chance of showers and a high near 50. Colder and sunnier conditions are expected for Tuesday with highs only around 40. We’ll see temps near 40 for Wednesday/Thanksgiving with a slight chance of rain and snow showers. Expect much colder conditions by next Friday with highs only around freezing and a chance of snow.

Winds and Weather

Winds will be mostly out of the west on Saturday and gusty conditions are not expected. Looking ahead, windier conditions are expected to make a return and a weather system could also bring rain chances as the workweek gets underway.
