Winterland at Gallagher Way Brings Holiday Cheer to Wrigleyville

Winterland at Gallagher Way is making a return on Friday, December 6, and the event will feature a wide range of seasonal events and activities every weekend through December 22. It all begins with a tree lighting ceremony that will be held on December 6 at 6 p.m. The ceremony will feature musical performances, live entertainment, giveaways, and free hot chocolate while supplies last.

The workshop, which runs through December 22, will be open on Thursdays and Fridays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. as well as Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. At the workshop, which is open to families and pets, guests will get the chance to take photos with Santa. Organizers said pets are only allowed in the workshop on Sundays.
Winter Market
Organizers said there has been an addition to this year’s event. A winter market will be held at Gallagher Way during the first weekend of Winterland. At the market, vendors will be offering home decor, clothing, food, jewelry, gifts, and more. Organizers said the winter market, which is free and open to the public, could be the perfect place for a date night or after-work drinks with friends.
Wreath-Making Workshops

Gallagher Way, in partnership with Indigo & Violet Studio will host a wreath-making workshop for Winterland guests on Saturday, December 7, and Sunday, December 8, at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Tickets for the workshop are $55 per person and include the wreath and décor material. Movie Nights
Those willing to brave the cold will get the chance to join in on the holiday fun at two holiday-themed movie nights at Winterland. The films will be shown on the Gallagher Way video board. On Thursday, December 12, Elf will be played, and on Thursday, December 19, there will be a screening of Home Alone. Gates for the movie nights open at 6 p.m. and the films are set to begin at 7 p.m.
