Man Shot to Death in McDonald’s Parking Lot on Far North Side

Shooting Occurred Friday Afternoon in Uptown Neighborhood

CHICAGO — A man was shot and killed in a McDonald’s parking lot on the city’s Far North Side.

The shooting happened around 3:45 p.m. Friday on the 1000 block of West Wilson Avenue in the Uptown neighborhood.

Police said a 45-year-old man was inside a parked vehicle in the fast-food restaurant’s parking lot when two people approached him.

One of the offenders pulled out a gun and fired shots at the victim.

The man was transported to Illinois Masonic Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No one is in custody. Area Three Detectives are investigating.
