Introduction to The Walk In Bar
LOGAN SQUARE — The Walk In bar is getting a makeover after almost 10 years in the neighborhood. The Walk In cocktail bar at 2727 N. Milwaukee Ave. closed two weeks ago and will reopen in about a month and a half, said owner Esam Hani.
Reason for Closure and Upcoming Changes
A notice has been posted on the bar doors, windows and on its website. Hani, who owns several nearby restaurants along the strip under his company One of a Kind Hospitality, said it was time to refresh the space after normal wear and tear, with new bathroom tile, a new back bar, fresh paint and new paneling.
Details of the Remodel
Not much else will change — and that’s the point, he said. “It’s going to be a more loungey vibe, sexier but still real simple,” Hani said. The bar’s menu will change slightly to include more cocktails and liquor options and more selective draft beer and can options, he said.
Enhanced Customer Experience
Hani also hopes to emphasize that patrons will be able to order food from The Harding Tavern across the street, his other business, since the The Walk In has no food menu. This move is expected to enhance the overall customer experience, providing patrons with more options to enjoy while they are at the bar.
Conclusion
The temporary closure of The Walk In bar for remodeling is a strategic move to refresh and enhance the space after nearly a decade of operation. With its new loungey vibe, expanded menu options, and the ability to order food from a neighboring establishment, The Walk In is poised to continue being a favorite spot in the Logan Square neighborhood upon its reopening.
