RIVER NORTH — New York City’s famed Katz’s Delicatessen is coming to Chicago for one day only.
Katz’s — the New York deli made famous by the movie “When Harry Met Sally” — is bringing its stacked sandwiches, classic soups and famously no-nonsense service to Chicago for a pop-up event in July.
The pop-up will be held 11 a.m.-3 p.m. July 9 at Bub City, 435 N. Clark St. It’s coming to Chicago to help promote the Windy City Smokeout, a country music and barbecue festival taking place July 10-13 outside the United Center, according to a news release.
Tickets for the pop-up are $45 per person and must be purchased in advance through OpenTable. Seating and availability are limited.
Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the legendary Katz’s pastrami sandwich along with pickles, steak frites and their choice of Dr. Brown’s Soda while enjoying live country music performances at Bub City throughout the day.
Visitors will also have the chance to win passes to Windy City Smokeout, according to a news release. Kane Brown, Dylan Gossett, Megan Moroney and Riley Green are just a few of the performers at this year’s fest.
