Onyx Medical Wellness is proud to announce the grand opening & ribbon cutting ceremony of its newest health and wellness clinic on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in Chicago’s historic South Shore neighborhood. Located at 2247 E. 73rd Street, the clinic will serve as a vital community health hub, offering culturally competent care to Black, LGBTQ+, and other underserved populations on Chicago’s South and West Sides.

A respected leader in public health, Dr. Green is also serving as a Grand Marshal in the 2025 Chicago Pride Parade, further spotlighting her trailblazing work in advancing equitable healthcare access.
The Mission of Onyx Medical Wellness
“This clinic is more than just a medical facility—it’s a sanctuary for healing, affirmation, and empowerment,” said Dr. Green. “We’re creating a space where every person, no matter their background or identity, can feel seen, supported, and cared for.”
The Onyx Health Collective
Onyx Medical Wellness is a cornerstone of the Onyx Health Collective, which also includes its nonprofit sister agency, ONYX360 NFP. Together, the Collective bridges clinical care, health education and community-based advocacy to address the root causes of health disparities and expand access to culturally responsive care.
Community Outreach and Impact
In 2024 alone, Onyx Health Collective reached over 2,100 individuals through 15 community health events, offering free immunizations, STI testing, dental services, and chronic disease education. Through ONYX360 NFP, the organization further addresses social determinants of health (SDOH) through year-round education, advocacy, and outreach.

South Shore Drive). This outdoor event will bring the community together for an afternoon of free health services, fitness, featuring healthy cooking demonstrations, HIV/STI screenings, and a range of free wellness services.
