The Chicago Defender is proud to announce that the University of Wisconsin’s Windy City Invitational is set to bring together 17 powerhouse collegiate track and field programs to Chicago’s South Side. This year’s event will feature top-notch athletes from Wisconsin, Harvard, Notre Dame, Howard, Northern Colorado, South Florida, Michigan State, and other Big Ten schools, showcasing the highest level of collegiate competition in the nation.
Beyond the competition, the event aims to empower local youth, boost the economy, and establish Chicago’s South Side as a premier destination for athletic excellence and cultural collaboration.
