According to the police, the incident began around 3:49 a.m. on Sunday morning, when a Villa Park police officer spotted a 2021 Hyundai Palisade on St. Charles Road, which was allegedly being driven by Davila, who had fled from Cicero officers earlier in the evening.
The Villa Park officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop by activating his emergency lights and sirens, but the officers said that was when Davila allegedly sped off.
The officer continued to follow Davila, who officers said went on to reach speeds of up to 113 MPH in a 30 MPH zone during the alleged pursuit.

Officers were eventually able to end the chase by deploying stop sticks and pinning the driver’s side door with a squad car, but prosecutors said that was when Davila, alongside two other unknown individuals, allegedly fled from the vehicle on foot.
An officer followed Davila through a residential area and ordered him to stop several times, but the suspect allegedly ignored the instructions.

Pursuit and Arrest

Officers said amid the pursuit, Davila allegedly attempted to jump a fence, and when the pursuing officer tried to stop, he allegedly punched the officer in the face two times and ran off again.
Another officer was eventually able to subdue Davila a short time later.

Court Appearance

During his first court appearance on Monday morning, Judge Joshua Dieden granted the state’s motion to detain Davila pre-trial. Davila is set to return to court on Dec. 1, 2025.
