Current Weather Conditions
OVERNIGHT: Unseasonably chilly, increasing clouds and a chance of showers. Possible isolated thunderstorms. Temps in upper 40s.
A completely overcast sky will dominate Chicago’s weather scene on Tuesday along with clusters of showers and possible thunderstorms. Rainfall is likely to hit in distinct waves, but it could be heavy at times. There is even a chance a few storms could approach severe levels across far southern portions of the viewing area.
Temperature Forecast
A wide-range in temperatures is again likely due to an easterly wind off the lake which could gust past 30 mph at times. Much of the area will see highs only reach the lower to middle 50s while some 60s are possible far south. Still, these readings are well below the low 70s considered normal for this time of year.
Weekly Weather Outlook
The summerlike 80s are gone for a while and we’re in the midst of what promises to be a far cooler week compared to a week ago. Average temperatures will wind up being more than 13-degrees cooler than last week and more than 9-degrees below normal.
The 100% cloud cover makes it virtually impossible to get a sunburn on Tuesday.
