It involves analyzing various atmospheric and environmental factors to provide accurate and reliable forecasts. In this article, we will discuss the current weather conditions, forecast updates, and other relevant information.
Current Weather Conditions
TUESDAY NIGHT: Clearing and colder with initially gusty winds diminishing overnight. Upper 20s at normally colder outlying areas. Low: 34.
The center of high pressure Wednesday morning will be sitting just north of Chicago in Wisconsin. The end result will be clear skies, lighter winds and a cold start to the day with many outlying areas beginning with temperatures near or below freezing.
Across the U.S., more than 22 million residents will open the day Wednesday with temperatures at or below freezing.
The day’s unlimited sunshine will help moderate the chill by afternoon with peak highs reaching the middle or upper 50s away from Lake Michigan, but a lake breeze will keep areas close to the lake in the middle 40s.

Looking Ahead
Even warmer temperatures are on tap for Thursday with highs surging well into the 60s as cloud cover increases bringing chances for scattered showers and possible thunderstorms in the afternoon hours and continuing into Friday.
There is a risk that some of the storms could be severe, especially on Friday. Forecast details will be refined as it gets closer.
Temperatures to soar near 80 degrees Friday afternoon, a level nearly 20 degrees above normal. That warmth may contribute to the development of strong or severe storms late Friday.
Roller coaster temperatures are forecasted (very typical of Spring) as a couple more dips in the jet stream will allow cooler Canadian air to overcome the warmer, moist flow from the Gulf at times, resulting in cooler temperatures.
