Suspects in Armed Robbery Lead Police on High-Speed Chase
Just before 1:45 p.m., two men approached a male delivery driver in the 800 block of N. Spaulding Avenue and took property from the victim. The suspects drove off in a stolen Infiniti, according to Chicago police.
Suspects Open Fire on Residence
As the vehicle proceeded to the area of 74th & St. Lawrence, at least one offender produced a handgun and fired shots into a residence. Fortunately, no one was struck.
Pursuit Ends in Matteson
Illinois State Police troopers assisted CPD officers and the Sauk Village Police Department with pursuit of the vehicle in the area of Illinois 394 and Route 30. The pursuit continued through the south suburbs and ended near Vollmer Road and Central Avenue, in Matteson. Authorities detained the three suspects after they fled on foot from the vehicle. No one was injured.
