Weather Update: Cooler Temps on Tap for Wednesday, Above Normal Trend Continues
It’s a gloomy start to Wednesday, with temperatures much cooler — and much closer to normal for this time of year — around Chicagoland than they’ve been the last couple days.
Early Morning Temperatures
Early-morning temperatures ranged from the upper 40s far inland to the mid-50s close to the lake. That was around 15 degrees cooler, give or take, than it was 24 hours ago for most areas.
Current Weather Conditions
Forecast
By late morning, temps hadn’t increased by much, due to a northwesterly wind flow that’s bringing in cool air and keeping humidity levels low:
Cloudy skies are expected to hang around until early afternoon Wednesday, then some clearing and peeks of sunshine should come through. Highs will reach the low to mid-50s. It’ll also stay dry, save for the slight chance of an isolated shower. Winds will also remain calmer Wednesday than they were the last couple days.
Outlook for Thursday and Friday
Thursday and Friday will see much more sunshine, with high temps reaching the mid-50s.
