Runners from across the world gathered in Chicago Sunday for the 2024 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Runners started the 26.2-mile course Sunday morning from Grant Park and went through 29 of Chicago’s neighborhoods before finishing back in Grant Park. Runners traveled as far north as Sheridan Road, as far west as Damen Avenue, and as far south as 35th Street.

Ruth Chepngetich, also of Kenya, set a world record with a time of 02:09:56.

Switzerland’s Marcel Hug finished with a time of 01:25:54.
